Does this replace a live therapist?+

No. Willow Labs is a tool for emotional support and self-help between sessions. In crises, we direct first to specialists and your country's hotline. For systemic work with trauma, mood disorders and serious conditions, you need a live therapist — and we help you find one.

What books was the model trained on?+

The corpus includes classic and modern texts on CBT (Beck, Burns), ACT (Hayes, Harris), DBT (Linehan), IFS (Schwartz), schema-therapy (Young), psychodynamic approach (Yalom, Kahn), attachment theory (Bowlby, Levine), trauma (van der Kolk), and neuroscience (Sapolsky, LeDoux). Plus tens of thousands of peer-reviewed papers.

What about the confidentiality of my messages?+

AES-256 at-rest and TLS 1.3 in-transit. Servers in EU. We don't share conversation content with third parties or use it for ad targeting. On your request — JSON export of all data and one-click deletion.

When will live therapist connection be available in Premium?+

The feature is currently in development — we're testing the approach carefully. Once it launches, the therapist will see only an AI summary (patterns, themes, progress), not the conversations themselves. Access opens only with your explicit consent and revokes in one click.

What happens if I'm in a crisis?+

If AI recognises crisis signals (suicide, self-harm, hopelessness mentions), it switches to crisis mode: validates feelings, asks about safety, suggests your country's hotline and helps connect with loved ones. These moments are flagged and undergo selective human audit weekly.

What languages does the app work in?+

Currently fully supported: Russian and English. By the end of 2026 we're adding Spanish, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Arabic. Cultural context is honoured — it's not just translation.

Can I use it for free?+

Yes, forever. The free tier includes 30 messages per day, all basic techniques and crisis safety net. Most users solve their issues on it.
